CARMEL FINE ART GALLERY CAREER OPENING: ADJUNCT DIRECTOR

The Carmel Fine Art Gallery, a well-established impressionist art gallery in Carmel, is looking for an Adjunct Gallery Director to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an art enthusiast, WITH A COLLEGE DEGREE, who enjoys helping people and selling. A networker pur-sang and very socially adept. This person needs to have a solid retail sales record. Computer savvy; having experience with Mac computers, Word, Excel, and WordPress is helpful. Duties include:

  • Assisting Gallery Director Owner
  • Sales Quota
  • Assist customers
  • Painting selection (Merchandising) 
  • Inventory (Art Work) sourcing
  • Inventory management 
  • Acceptance and inventory of new work – cataloging artwork
  • Shipping & handling artwork
  • Installing artwork during regular operating hours and for new exhibitions (flexible schedule)
  • Show preparation and general maintenance of gallery exhibition rooms
  • Scheduling and posting social media content, including new works and related content
  • Online email marketing and monthly newsletters
  • Updating website content, including Current and upcoming Exhibitions and Artist Pages
  • Weekly / bi-monthly email newsletters (Mailpoet and WordPress)
  • Track and stock gallery supplies, including kitchen, restroom, storage and packing supplies
  • Occasional on-site installations and deliveries
  • Data entry of client names addresses and contact info in Excel spreadsheet/Mailpoet
  • Data entry of inventory of paintings in Excel spreadsheet
